Claims we handle
Delayed or stalled insurance claims
Unreturned calls, a new adjuster every few weeks, the same documents requested twice. We take over the communication and give the carrier fewer reasons to wait.
A delayed claim wears people down. Repairs can't start, temporary fixes start to fail, and every call to the insurance company seems to start from scratch. Some policyholders give up and accept whatever is offered just to be done.
You don't have to. We step in as your representative, find out exactly what the carrier says it still needs, and deliver a complete, organized claim so the file can move.
Paramount is a licensed public adjusting firm in Flowery Branch, Georgia, serving Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina. We represent the policyholder, never the insurance company, and the first review of your claim is free.
Why claims stall
Missing documents. The carrier is waiting on photos, estimates, receipts or a proof of loss that nobody has sent.
Adjuster turnover. The file has been reassigned, and the new adjuster is starting over.
Catastrophe volume. After a major storm, carriers can have more claims than adjusters.
Scope disputes. The two sides disagree about the damage and nobody is moving the conversation forward.
Waiting on reports. An engineer or other expert report has been ordered and the claim is on hold until it arrives.
How we get a claim moving
First we get the whole file: the claim number, correspondence, estimates and anything the carrier has asked for. Then we fill the gaps with our own inspection, photos and a detailed estimate, and send the carrier a complete package.
From there we handle every call and email, follow up in writing with dates, and escalate to supervisors and managers when deadlines pass. A well-documented claim with a clear paper trail is much harder to leave sitting.
When the delay doesn't end
If a carrier still won't respond, there are further steps. Each state's insurance regulator (Georgia's Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner, the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, the South Carolina Department of Insurance) accepts consumer complaints about insurers, and many policies include an appraisal provision for disputes over the amount of a loss. We'll talk through the options that fit your claim.

FAQ
Delayed claims claim questions
Don't see your question? Call us and we'll talk through your claim.
How long should an insurance claim take?
It depends on the size of the loss, the carrier and how complete the documentation is. Weeks of silence with no clear request for information is a sign the claim needs someone pushing it.
Can you take over a claim that's already open?
Yes. You can bring us in before or after you file, and at any point while the claim is open. We'll start by reviewing everything that has happened so far.
Will hiring a public adjuster slow my claim down?
Our goal is the opposite. A complete, well-documented claim gives the carrier fewer reasons to wait, and we follow up in writing until it moves.
Can I still talk to my insurance company?
You can, but you don't have to. Once we represent you, we handle communication with the carrier and keep you updated.
